Station Square Part I

Twas just the two of them
In a lowly begging hovel
Covered in sweat, dirt and grime
Everyday a survival struggle

Tricks from pickpockets
Emotions from the begging rich
The station square was learning ground
As much as it was to kismet a pitch

Till one day a producer came
Who spotted the diamond beneath the coal
Made an offer none could have refused
To the girl if she would take the role

Life changed for the tot then
What color her world did get
As kismet gave her fame and success
Her childhood friend she did forget

Stopping at the station now
She wonders what happened to him
Selfish to the core, now guilty
Where could her search for him begin?
